HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Gadsden is a 44 bed free standing hospital specializing in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. HealthSouth is accredited by the Joint Commission for acute inpatient rehabilitation and also for stroke rehabilitation.

Designed with patient care in mind, HealthSouth of Gadsden offers 16 private rooms and 28 semi-private rooms. Both spacious and modern, each room has wireless internet capability. We offer a higher level of care such as greater physician involvement and therapy time as well as an onsite pharmacy.

Specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, our medical director leads a highly qualified team of nurses and therapists to provide a coordinated program of rehabilitative care. An interdisciplinary team, along with the patient and family, develops a specialized treatment plan to help each patient meet their individual goals. The team members include a board certified physiatrist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, nursing, case managers, pharmacists and dietitians.
